Terms and conditions

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of Entry.
  2. Promotion is only open to Australian residents over the age of 18 years. The Promoter’s employees and their immediate families and the Promoter’s agencies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
  3. The Promotion commences at 1am AEST on 4th March 2010 and concludes 4th May 2010 at 12 midnight EST.

    To enter, consumers must:
    (a) Complete the online form at the following website: www.electrolux.com.au/masterclass and
    (b) Answer in 25 words or less the question for the Promotion: What is your favourite feature in Tetsuya’s new Masterkitchen?
  4. All entries must be received by 12 midnight AEST Tuesday 4th May 2010.
  5. Each completed entry received per entrant prior to the deadline for submission constitutes one entry in the Promotion. One entry per person only. Only one prize will be permitted per entrant.
  6. A panel appointed by the Promoter will individually judge all valid entries received at the close of the Promotion. All valid entries will be judged having regard to the overall quality of the response to the Promotion Question including literary composition, creative merit and originality. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. This is not a game of chance and hence no permits are required. The Promoter’s decision is final on all matters pertaining to this and no correspondence will be entered into. The final judging will take place on 5th May 2010 at 19a Boundary Street, Rushcutters Bay. There will be a redraw for unclaimed prizes conducted at 19a Boundary Street, Rushcutters Bay on 10th May 2010. The redraw winner(s) will be notified by email.
  7. By entering the Promotion, you authorise the reproduction of your answer to the Promotion Question (without attribution) on www.electrolux.com.au and the editing of the answer prior to publication without consultation. Entrants warrant that they are the owner of the copyright in their entry and that it is their original literary work which does not infringe the rights of any third party. The entrants agree to indemnify the Promoter against all claims and costs by third parties arising from a breach of this warranty.
  8. The 12 best entries received will win a single invitation to an exclusive Tetsuya Master class at Tetsuya’s restaurant, 529 Kent Street SYDNEY, NSW – on the evening of Tuesday 24th August 2010 from 6pm. This will include return economy airfares from the major prize winner’s nearest Australian capital city. One nights’ accommodation on the night of the Master class Tuesday 24th August 2010. A private car will transport the winner and their guest from their accommodation within the Sydney Metro area (50km radius from Sydney city centre – GPO) to Tetsuya’s restaurant for the master class and then back to their accommodation within the Sydney Metro area stipulated above. All other costs associated with the major prize, including but not limited to any transfer costs, additional meals, taxes, insurance and ancillary costs are the responsibility of the major prize winner.
  9. Total potential prize pool is up to $32,520 (including GST). Prize values are accurate at the time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize values after that date.
  10. The prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. In the event that for any reason whatsoever the prize winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the prize winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize. Delivery of prize must be taken on Tuesday 24th August 2010.
  11. No responsibility accepted for late, lost, stolen, damaged or misdirected entries.
  12. The winner will be notified by telephone and email.
  13. The Promoter will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage of any nature whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained as a result of, or in connection with, receiving, taking or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  14. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, nor for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Promotion, nor for any technical error, nor any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
  15. All entries are deemed to have been received at the time of receipt of the email.
  16. The prize awarded is final; no substitutes or alternatives will be offered.
  17. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications (including any fringe benefits tax) that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Any tax liability arising, as a result of accepting any prize is the responsibility of the winner.
  18. All claims and entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter requires the entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the Promotion. If the entrant does not provide this personal information then they will not be able to take part in the Promotion. By entering the Promotion, unless otherwise advised by the entrant, each entrant consents to the information they submit with their entry being entered into a database and the Promoter may use this information in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment or other compensation to the entrant including sending the entrant electronic messages, and the Promoter may provide the information to organisations that assist the Promoter with promotional, marketing and publicity activities. All personal details of the entrants will be stored at the office of the Promoter. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to that office.
  19. Winners must be over the age of 18 years.
  20. The Promoter retains the right to substitute the prizes with prizes of equal or greater value. The values of the prizes are accurate at the date of commencement of the Promotion. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
  21. The Promoter and its associated agencies or companies accept no responsibility for lost, late, stolen, damaged or misdirected claims.
  22. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its discretion to modify the terms of the Promotion including the prizes and these Terms and Conditions.
  23. Electrolux collects information when people participate in programs, competitions, promotions or other services. The information is used for the purpose of administering the programs, competitions and promotions and for ensuring that the awards and prizes offered are appropriate. Electrolux will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. Electrolux will only provide your personally identifiable information to other individuals or companies when it is necessary in order to provide the product or service you have requested or when it is legally bound to do so.   24. In attending the event, winners agree to be filmed /photographed by Electrolux during the cooking classes. Images will be used by Electrolux at their own discretion.
